Therapy Services I Offer

Individual Therapy

Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a licensed psychologist can make things better. I care about your well-being and provide you with tools in order to manage your situation and learn how to tackle even the most difficult circumstances.

The decision to enter therapy does not come easily. It is usually made, after the person, consciously or unconsciously, has attempted to solve their problems but cannot. They feel stuck or in pain. Individuals seek therapy for a variety of reasons. Often, they are seeking to change their old ways, establish harmony in their relationships, find the courage to pursue their goals, and overcome their negative ways of thinking. Making changes in our lives takes time, just as making physical changes like losing weight takes time. Research indicates that by practicing new ways of thinking and acting, we can actually transform our lives for the better.

I believe in a holistic psychology view, involving both the mind and the body. There is a root cause to the symptoms you are experiencing. That root may be psychological (based on experiences/thoughts) or may be physiological. Ideally, we address both as treatment may not be complete if we leave one aspect out. Through psychotherapy, we form an ongoing relationship where the underlying cause for specific mental health issues are identified and improved upon.

My goal is provide an individual psychotherapy experience that takes place within a warm, caring, and safe atmosphere. As sensitive and deeply personal topics are discussed, you can expect the highest level of respect and confidentiality.

In-Home Therapy

In-Home Therapy provides clients the opportunity to be seen on their turf- in their real lives. During in-home therapy sessions, I apply interventions in your environment. Therapy in your own home eliminates many barriers that prevent people from seeking treatment from a mental health professional. In-home psychotherapy allows me to assist clients who might not have access to mental health services, who might not have good child care options or who have trouble securing rides to my office. In addition, while client information is always held to the highest level of confidentiality, providing therapy services in- home provides you with an added level of privacy.
